View On Marcel

Interesting and highly personal, from the iconographic point of view, is the path of Néstor Ferronato. From the first works, essentially figurative, he arrives at that dynamicconception typical of futurism in which everything merges anddivides, interpenetrates with other parts, turns into simultaneousvisions, composed of surreal particles. While not giving up figuration, the Italian-Argentine artist NestorFerronato uses the fragment to make everything, the detail - endowedwith a life of its own - intertwines with other independent details: animage in the image, idea in the idea.In his recent works, even the colors become more vivid, moredecisive and more detailed, marking the line of demarcation, withoutsecond thoughts, between one figure and another, between one subjectand another, between one symbol and another.Yes, because "symbolism" is the ultimate figure of this painter, usedto propose strong themes, but offered to the viewer through a formaland colouristic lightness. To explain it with the words of Klee, Ferronato's works remind us thatthe man is half a prisoner and half winged.
